No. You keep your NHS registration. Private care sits alongside it — it's there when you need faster access or longer appointments, not as a replacement.
How much does it actually cost?
GP appointments start from £49. Some additional services carry their own fees, which we'll always confirm with you in advance. No surprises.
What if I need a prescription?
Dr Secretary can issue private prescriptions. Most medications are available at standard pharmacy prices — in many cases comparable to NHS prescription charges.
Can I book a home visit?
Yes. Home visits are available for patients who need them. Contact us to discuss your requirements and we'll arrange something suitable.
I'm not sure my problem needs a GP — can I still register?
Yes. If it turns out you need a different service or a referral, Dr Secretary will tell you honestly — and help arrange it.
